When Licette was in the seventh grade at Saint Rose junior high, her teacher then took a special interest and helped her make one of her dreams come true. After spending 9 months writing a play on teenage drug abuse her classmates performed this short story in front of other students. This was just the beginning of Licette’s' many endeavors to the world of writing. Many notebooks later, Licette decided to take her hobby to a different level and share them with the world. She spent her time revamping resumes, writing short stories and proofreading others papers. With time, her notebooks were shelved and the internet gave her a new avenue to spread the word of art and wordplay. As one of the few great loves her in life next to music and art, writing took on another place of its own.
In 2005, Licette joined Blogger.com, Writing.com, Live Journal.com, and Word Press to name a few and started pounding the key board and dispersing her thoughts. With no pen name, Licette remained as anon-y-mous until 2007 when a dear friend of hers suggested it was time to give her style a label. After months of not being able to find one, her dear friend baptized her with Lisa Script. After spending 2 years, giving her thoughts life a proposal was extended to become a business partner for Vuzeum.com (a media site for entertainment and music). Licette spent a year writing for Vuzeum and recruited upcoming potential writers who later became the 10 Scribes. With time and practice, Lisa Script and the 10 Scribes not only became dominating force on Vuzeum but also excelled beyond their goals and established themselves as writing team with Script at the helm.
Licette is currently working on several avenues and projects for getting the necessary exposure for her and the 10 Scribes team members. Slaphappi.com, the new site created by the 10 Scribes, which has been described as a writer’s fantasyland, will be coming to internet sometime this spring. Stay tuned for writing to be a love not a requirement.
